First off: 206 GTi 138, w reg (2000), orange

Yesterday both my bulbs for my dipped lights decided to blow at the same time. Got some new ones today and put them in, working fine now. Was a big struggle to get them in as to get the back off the light housing is a pain in the ass. But I got them in eventually.

Problem is.. Now the car won't actually start. The engine will turn, but it just won't fire. I've checked the fuses under the bonnet and under the cab, all seem fine as far as I can see. The big red button near the battery has been pressed. the battery seems fine, it's not struggling to attempt to start. Everything else in the car seems fine. Nothing is frozen (far as i can tell). I've checked all the wires I can see, nothing is loose, all plugged in.

Not had chance to try and bump start it as 1. It's pitch black outside, 2. too icy to push where I live, 3. Nobody to help push :/

So yea.. any ideas on this are welcome. Hopefully sooner rather than later otherwise I'm fooked for work tomorrow. <3

Pressed the button for the fuel cut off switch, still nothing. If it's the immobilizer what can I do to turn it off or at least find out for sure if it is that?

Have you got a spare key? Try that as it could be the transponder in the key

try locking and unlocking on the fob? fuel cut of will only cut in if the car has a bump im sure it cannot be nocked by accident. the immob stops it sparking

is your pump priming when the key is turned?

Key seems fine. Chip is seated alright and central locking works. Alarm beeps when I press the 2nd button (1st time I've ever actually pressed that button). Don't have a 2nd key to try. When I turn the ignition on I can hear the fuel pump prime or whatever you call it.

This is a nightmare now.the new bulbs work.I've taken out every fuse I can find and checked them and they are ask fine. been doing this in the dark with a small torch, tomorrow il get chance to look whenit's light.
What is there behind our around the back of the light cases that I could have touched which could possibly cause this?

Btw phone keyboards suck for posting with. But thanks your all your help do far guys.

have you checked the fuses in the engine bay and under the steering wheel? At the end of the coil pack there is a little cap. if you take that off and try to start it a bit of petrol should squirt out. this will confirm the car has fuel and its the immobilisr stopping the car from starting. Unless no fuel comes out but it seems like an immobiliser problem to me.

All fuses are fine under the steering wheel + in the engine bay.

Just checked and fuel is coming out, so the pump is working. Seems like the last thing then is the immobiliser. Anything I can do to bypass it or is a *eurgh* peugeot jobby + reprogram?
