Standard vs Standard, the GTi180 is better. However, it is a pretty poor hot hatch, and there's better out there for the same money.

Isn't that what 180 owners get as standard kit instead of a spacesaver wheel?

The argument stands - The 'better' car goes for more money. How is that not clear as day?

You've lost the plot. Your whole argument up untill now was that the 180 wasn't worth 'more money'. Still, at least you agree after 15 odd pages that the 180 is 'the better car'.

First off - You try to pick holes in the argument and somehow think you have disproved my point when in actual fact you have just conjured up a scenario where I was talking non-sense in order for you to look good.

Secondly, have a good trawl through the posts and see that I have always said the 180 to be a slightly better version. After all, its a dressed up gti and as I own a gti, i'm bound to like it.

I really think you have a strong chance of becoming the new info troll.
Keep it up!

Firstly, so it's my fault you, by your own admission, talk 'non-sense' Shocked
I've heard it all now Rolling On The Floor Laughing

Secondly, say it enough & you might convince yourself you haven't changed your story.

Thirdly, troll would more accurately sum up your varying view point.
Fourtly, I thought you were bored a few posts ago?

I was but somehow you try to convince yourself that gloating will somehow make your 'win' believable.

Not to sure what your getting at, nothing new there then. But it's not about win or lose. It's about you were wrong.

How I'm blinkered when it was you that got it wrong I can't work out. But it's a shame you couldn't have a discussion & admit you were wrong rarther than throw a hissy fit.

I may aswell add my 2 cents.

How can people argue between them, the GTi 180 was made after, sports a much better interior, better suspension as std, better alloys, more options and a more powerful engine.

The Gti 180 is obviously better, it is the top spec model 206.

138 owners, ask yourself this... if the Price of a 180/Tax/Insurance/ect were the same as a 138 would you still buy a 138? No most probably not, the 180 is an enhanced 138.

Unless your one of these believers that the 138 is the better model to tune people. (not debating if it's true or not i'm sure there is proof out there to stand by that statement)

Imo it's definitely worth the extra money over a normal Gti, I'm almost on my second 180, didn't opt for the 138 after the test drive, imo the 180 felt the better car, and was substancially quicker at the time.

In Saxo land the VTS is better than the VTR, same car just different engine, same sort of thing.

the 180 was also 'slightly' illegal according to my local peugeot dealer! rofl.

tbh, i'd have 180 over the 138 in standard out of the factory form. But for modifying i'd pick the 138 purely based on costs.

Seriously mate, you have proved nothing. I also suggest you carry on the thread by all means but leave me out of it as it seems as though you are not arguing about the car but simply arguing with me.

Its tired and has frankly dragged on too long.
