The quiksilver's have the same brakes as a 1.1
You can easily upgrade to 106 GTi 247mm brakes or even 206 GTi 138 266mm or 206 GTi 180 283mm.
106boners always have 106 GTi calipers for sale, just refurb them.

Cheers if i keep the car i am going to upgrade the brakes, I was going up the motorway yesterday and a 1000 year old man decides to pull out on my and i locked on the brakes i skid a good 50 yards and managed to let of and change lane before changing lane i really did crap myself but the brakes are just poor on the quicksilver, Thanks !

That is an awesome pic of your car next to the graphti'd wall- very inspiring!! I think a few people on here previously had 106's. They're a great 1st car! Here's my old one:

Then transformed into this:
And finished as this LOL:
Deffinate FAIL ha ha- was so gutted tho
