hi all,

ive disconnected my battery for the first time and now my radio is asking me for the code. i checked the manual and i think this is a 4 digit code that is written on the confidential card?? (correct me if im wrong). problem is tht i wasnt given this card when i purchased the car second hand.

can the dealer supply a replacement card? what wil it cost?
what info do they need, just the vin? or does my radio have to come out?
is this code the same one that i need to get new keys programmed?

thanks in advance for any help guys!

really want my stereo back haha!

It costs £25 from Peugeot

if you need to pay to get it sorted, might just be worth saving the cash and buying a half descent new headunit

If you can't get the code for free don't bother. Spend the money on an after market HU.

haha ok il have a check, i want to keep the original in there because it works really well. the cd player is basically "new" as the old lady who had the car before me never ever used it because it "destracted" her lol.

so is it possible for the dealers to get this? if its not written on the top im hapy to just pay the £25 or whatever to fix it quick Razz

do i need "keys" to take the stereo out?

im confuzed as to if this confidential card contains the radio code or the key code or are they the same? lol

As Nitrox121 says, it can be done for free. Have a look at this forum...

www.unlockforum.com/fo...ash-Boards

Put in the info they ask for and they will come back to you pretty quickly with the code. It worked for me on our old Megane and Nitrox had no problems either.

Thankyou roberto.f Smile

just trying to get it out now, if the wrong code is entered in will it lock forever and be a dealer job? ive seen lots of websites like the one above who supply codes but im worried if i put the wrong one in its game over haha

If you use up all of your attempts, leaving the key turned in the ignition for 30 mins should reset it IIRC.

thanks for your pm roberto.f i havnt got the car atm so will try it later. on my way home i passed the dealers so popped in and the guy said he would get me the code for free Razz he phoned up but JUST MY LUCK the system was down Sad so the code couldent be retrieved.

if u dont mind me askin how is it possible you can get the code from a clarion without the C7000... number? literally everywhere else says its a dealer only job with the CL number. im worried about putting the wrong one in and locking the stereo!
