The glow plugs on hdi's (and most modern diesels) continue to work for a minute or so after the engine has started for 'cleaner' emissions reasons.

I have never seen heater plug light on my 206SW 1.4 HDi but I am told a fuel heater in fuel filter and a water censor that is with genuine Peugeot fuel filter but third party filters much cheaper as only dummy sockets with no connections so no heater or water sensor, is it the fuel heater that gives the instant start.
