I had my clutch cabe replaced as the self adjuster mechanism snapped. Originally when then mechanic diagnosed it he said he had the clutch apart and said it needed a new clutch but I said no just replace the clutch cable only. But ever since its been replaced there's been a free play throw in the clutch pedal before any resistance is felt.
Today whilst driving, i noticed that its much more spongy to press. biting point seems ok.
I also noticed:
If i rev to 3000 rpm then let go of clutch I can cause a wheel spin. But if I do that now ever since the cluch cable has been replaced by a local garage the car just limps away in first gear. Not good when i need power in first gear whilst at round a bouts! If I really want it to wheel spin then I got to rev it to at least 4500 rpm for it to spin. what does this tell you? that the clutch is too close to the plate?
I am not advertising dangerous driving I am trying to demonstrate the thoery re iterated in numbskull words.lol

your clutch pedal needs to have calibration,the mechanic should of done that after he fitted the new cable,it only take a few mins to do so.
so when you put the first gear,and move your leg up the pedal,how much do you have to move it up for the gear to ingage?? is't too much ?

when I start to lift it up a little and i can feel it engages straight away but vey weak

then i think your clutch is about to say bye bye :(,because usually the weak start happen when calibration is not right,but sense you feel it engages when you lift your foot up a little ,then nothing wrong with calibration

i forgot to ask you,does the idle of your car goes up when you drive to a hill but the car don't move in the power it used to?? or stay normal?

Idling is perfectly fine. its been like this for over half a year. It was replaced half a year ago the clutch cable. must say its top 2 inches it feel spongy but after it feels normal
I also noticed something .Every tme I press the clutch down it makes a click noise , not the pedal itself but sounds more of like a spring noise compressing.
Does the clutch wire travel beneath the coolant resoviour? I can see a new whitey beige plastic cylinder plastic type cap thing with a red label warning on it says it must be removed when installed. So I dont know why its still there. I dont know if this is the plastic protection cap for the self adjusting clutch mechanism cyclinder bit.

let someone push the clutsh pedal for you,and see if it moves where you just said,if so,then let a mechanic check it for you,or maybe you can add pics,it will be more helpful for us.
