Hey all, new to this forum, due to girlfriend having a '51 206 2.0 HDI.
Just failed MOT on indicator stalk problem, despite arguing the toss, and the fact that same garage passed it last year with same fault!

Does a new/secondhand com unit have to be coded to the BSI, or can you just plug it in?

And is it correct that the radio does not require a code after a battery disconnect?

I'm pretty sure it is multiplex, as it has the large style MFD with MPG etc. and large 'fat' stereo remote stalk.

Thanks in advance.

The COM2000 is just plug and play, but make sure you have the same amount of functions as your existing one.

The radio does not require a code.

Make sure you d/c the battery correctly. A guide can be found in my sig.

Is that true of all the COM2000 functions?
Its just that my steering wheel position sensor has broken causing the ESP to stop working, and I was told I would have to have it reconnfigured?
Cheers

Mate, thanks for the quick reply, and advice.

I already clocked the battery disconnect info.
More complex than a 747!

Got to do the rear brake drums too, and not read anything good about that job!

Thanks.

A GTI 180 or any 206 with ESP fitted is NOT plug & play.

The ESP steering angle sensor needs setting up after replacing the com2000 unit Wink

Technically you should also reset the ESP system steering angle sensor after have the wheel alignment adjusted.

Peugeot / Citroen stuff with ESP has the steering angle sensor built in to the Com2000, it saves space in installation but adds cost when it goes wrong as you have to replace the complete unit Laughing

Is it the sensor at fault OR does it just need setting back up with Peugeot Planet?
