Hi, recently my RC (GTI 180) started misfiring when cold, and even when hot, pushing on gas pedal at low revs...
I have new: sparks plugs, coilpack, rpm sensor; I recently changed MAP sensor, cleaned throttle body, and even tried adding gasoline original Pug cleaner for injection, as Info flash says...
I'm thinking at fuel pump, because engine runs linear at any rev, I have the problem only if pushing hard on pedal at low revs...
Any ideas, please?

Check for air leaks on the induction side..... run car at idle and use an ether based spray around joints and gaskets..... not too much at a time.. The revs will rise if you have a leak

Thank you, I'll make that test... Even if everything looks in mint conditions...

Stock PUG spark plugs... I forgot I have changed upper lambda sensor... As I'll have some time I'll try macj's test and I will test fuel pression, too...

It seems that the second can of 9729FF Peugeot cleaner (as the info flash says) solved the problem... There seems to be some deposit of a gasoline component that dirty intake manifold inside the engine head (something like "calamina"); that's a specific product to clean that kind of component...

Well, no, problem seemed to be solved, but it's here again! No air leakage as macj said. It's not something like an "empty" in acceleration, but it's one cylinder that doesn't fire correctly...

Might be worth swapping the injector for that cylinder with another (even the one from another cylinder) and see if the problem 'moves' to another cylinder. I've had it before where nothing will clean the injector, and only replacement will do.

Without any useful data (i.e. by reading live data via OBD) its just a case of trial and error with a few components.

First thing I would do is to 'read' the spark plugs. You might just get a hint of what the problem is by looking at the plug (i.e. wet would indicate possible weak spark, overly burnt/damaged tip would indicate lean misfire).

Thats if its cylinder-specific, and a misfire not a general splutter.

Well, I'll have to test injectors with specific instuments. Swapping with another will probably mantain the problem (to another cylinder); my motorized valve works perfectly (checked with PPS 2000).
Strange thing it's that the problem occurs randomly, and even when it appears, engine is running perfectly at constant gas pedal...
