Hi all,
well funny thing happened............. retook my test today (passed) (licence revoked under new drivers act) using my own car. (1.1lx (03))
decided to go for a celebratory drive. as I turned back into my road, literally 50 feet from my drive, there's a loud clunk sound and my car turns into a tank. and then i see what turns out to be my back-box and exhaust pipe sat in the road in 4 bits.

after looking through the internet i have a reasonable idea of prices for parts, but is it something i can do myself?
Or take to the garage (what's the usual charge for labour?)

at least it didn't happen on my test!!!!

Can you link it? You can do it yourself if you have the right tools, but it willl take hours and will make you swear a lot especially on the cat Laughing . There isn't much that can go wrong though so if you are interested in doing it yourself then go for it.

Automotive 206 exhaust system

thanks for feedback so far, appreciate it.
one other thing is it worth paying the extra for a better back box / Silencer or stick to the OE one?
