Ive had to grind them off before. Its a straight forward job, just getting the old ones off can be a bit of a bugger.

I did mine day before yesterday as I had knocking noise, got to taking most the stuff off, then had to wait ages for my mate to come round with a grinder! lol.
After that though it was all ok!
I still have the odd knock sound, so im wondering if I need to do the track rod ends too.
Put my coilovers on while I was at the drop links too!

On some of the originals they have the allen key slot in the end but also on some there is room for a spanner to be inserted if you peel back the rubber surround so you can have a spanner on each side!! Most after market ones dont come like this only the originals

Yeah got mine sorted, haven't taken it out for a spin out as i haven't got time, got a train to catch back to Manchester.
Must have tools for next time - a torx wrench, and a torx key!

I just took mine to the garage, £40 for parts and fitting. That's the easiest method =P

Well I got mine done for £20 (cost of a grinder) + parts. I've learned how to do something I wouldn't have dreamed of doing a year ago. I have 206info to thank for that.
