Hi

Is there anybody who can confirm the part number for a fuel cap sensor for a 2004 1.6hdi. Also is it the same part number from a 1.4hdi? I'm trying to give me more options for finding a replacement.

Thanks

Paul

Yeah it's linked to the FAP system. There's a sensor which is located behind the fuel cap up inside the rear wheel arch. The sensor has wiring that runs to the fuel pump under the back seat.

The sensor tells the car that the fuel caps off and puts s shot if Eolys into the tank. Sometimes one of the two magnets drops off the fuel cap itself but in my case theyre present and the sensors died. Pug want £55.53+vat for one.

It brought up fault code P2048 which is directly that part. I'll be ordering one Monday in any case but was living in hope...
