a small amount is normal, not enough that you cant see the car behind you though. lots of black smoke could be the sign of a blocked EGR

Sounds good, I'm looking for one after 2000 because of the tax. Spoke to a guy today and it seems reasonable. Full service history and the belts done when scheduled, but its on 120k so may be due now, not sure on the intervals.

Couple of problems one being it ran completely out of diesel.
And the fuel light comes on when the gauge reads 1/4.
He said it ran out of fuel pretty much as soon as the light came on. Does they sound fixable? Possibly a problem with the fuel guage or sensor?

If its an easy fix I may go take a look tomorrow.

mines on 195,000 still runs well just keep it well mainted, will last 400k probably more real bullet proof engine also can be easily be tuned and chipped with remap or intercooler and tuning chip and so on ..
