I was wondering if anyone with 206 experience can help me with this one.
My 1.4 is driving really nicely (after fitting some new injectors) but once every 10 or so miles it feels like the brakes are randomly engaging for a fraction of a second. It usually happens in bursts of 2-4. Revs remain constant but speed drops.
My garage has taken it for an "extensive" test drive and not experienced it. I did have new brakes fitted before Christmas.
Is there anything I can check?

Is the engine management light on?
It could be the throttle position sensor at fault.

No lights came on. At least not that I remember. I will pay attention to the dash next time it happens.
If it is the TPS, what should I be looking for, just the light flashing while the brakes engage?
fingers crossed it is that, a £20 quid fix would be ideal.

You sure brakes are applying?it could be a momentarily fuel cut off.

No, not sure. It feels like the brakes, but I am not very good at judging these things.
Revs remain constant (~2.8K last time I experienced it). This is what made me assume it wasn't engine related. Of course, now I think about it, the "blips" wer so short that the momentum would probably keep the revs going.
If it is a fuel cut off, any thoughts on what I should do next?

most likely its not the brakes applying theselves but a problem with the engine holding its revs
you say speed drops but the revs stay the same. this is not possible. (unless your clutch is slipping)
most likely the engine "blips", its revs drop (just not enough to notice) and speed drops. so it feels like someone is tapping the breaks briefly 
as said i would look at the fuel and TPS side of things

Could be anything from dirty fuel filter to TPS. or injectors..

Is there an easy way to test the TPS, or should I just fit a new one and see if the problem goes away?
The deceleration caused is much greater than you get when you just dip the clutch. Does this eliminate the clutch slipping?
@Antknee, I so hope you are right. One splash of holy water and the car will be good as new

I completely forgot about that, thanks. Google shows an OBD port just below the steering column. I will hook my BT reader up tonight and see what it says.

I have this on my 406 coupe.
Its from the engine but some other people from that forum have this too. Unfortunately no one has found an answer to the problem after having lots of things changed.
But the revs do drop and so does the speed at around 2500rpm.

Fingers crossed its the same symptoms to a different issue. I would expect the engines to be pretty different mechanically.

its not the clutch slipping, just saying that if the revs didnt drop that would be it.
the "brakeing" feels more then when you dip the clutch because the engine is dragging the car. the cars not freely glideing (when your coasting)
