as i posted before my speedo was playing up took it to a garage and they tried changing the speed sensor which didnt solve the problem then i left the car with them for them to fix, just got the car back and they swapped the clock this one now reads 145k -.- my original mileage was 78k is the any way to fix this? or am i screwed Question

You can have the mileage corrected.

There are plenty of people in the trade advertising this in magazine & on the net.

I posted in your previous thread that BBA would correct the mileage if you have proof ( mot certificate )

You should always swap clocks from cars with less mileage, or a little more as this happens. I don't understand why they didn't tell you about it?

As far as I know if you get any other clocks the same will happen. So if you got less than 145k it would stay at 145k or it would increase if you got ones with higher mileage.

NON plexed will display whatever is in the instrument cluster memory you fit.

There is no anti clocking protection on a NON plexed 206 Wink

i didn't do it, i left the car with them they said give us couple hours to get to it fixed and when i came back the damage was done, how much does that place charge for mileage correction? i got the old mot if that helps

Whatever mileage is stored in the instrument cluster memory, that's what that cluster will display no matter what non plexed 206 you plug it in to.

Didnt you ask BBA for a quote to repair your original speedo?

Digital speedo's make the clockers work easier.

no because for this repair i paid nothing it was all done by the guy i bought the car from, he has his own mechanic and he did it

there easy to clock depending you know the right people, there's a bloke around ours that does them for £50, for people in your situation its fine but people do abuse it clocking cars and making a bit more money on them . . .
