Hello all, You may have seen my post the other week about my 180 problems. I am still having problems and i am starting to think it might be down to the fuel filter.

The car is starting to run a bit lumpy and ideling is eratic. Sometimes when i accelerate it hesitates. It all started whilst running on Tesco Momentum and since then i have tried different types i.e shell v-power.

I think the car still has the original fuel filter and has now done 62,000 miles.

I originally thought that either a piston ring is worn or the head gasket is on its way out but i removed the plugs again today and checked for oil etc, they all seem fine.

Does anyone else think this may be the problem? has anyone else experienced anything like this

Cheers

180 fuel filter are in the tank and don't normally ever need changeing. Try cleaning your map sensor and make sure it hasnt got ngk plugs isn't it as the pugs don't like them. I also use tesco momentum fuel as my car seem to like it.

All fixed... Turned out to be a faulty temperature sensor. It's been replaced, fault codes cleared and all is well!
