I want to flush the coolant out of girlfriends car but dont know how to.Have looked on internet but not found any photos or write up.Can anyone help? 51 reg 1.1

Just disconnect the bottom hose from the radiator, let the coolant drain out and run a hose into the coolant reservoir. To flush the radiator remove both hoses and take the radiator out and run a hose through it. You know where the bleed points are when refilling?

Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

you can bleed the system by a point in the heater matrix pipes,you can open it till all the air is out,and the coolant run smoothly,then close it,and close the cap of the expansion tank.

Non bio washing powder / liquid / dish washer tablets are handy for giving the cooling system a good clean out Stick a scoop / couple of tablets in & take the car for a drive to get it up to a decent working temp before you flush out the system. Make sure its NON bio! ! !

A proprietry cooling system cleaning fluid would be required, eg:

Its an old mechanics trick, does a brilliant job & perfectly safe as long as its NON bio Wink

When u bleed do u do it when engine is running cold or hot

hot, make sure the cap doesnt blow off though.. if it does then one of your dust caps off your tyres will fit perfectly!

It helps clean the crud out of the system.

Just remember it must be NON bio Wink

Stick a scoop full / couple of tablets in & take it for a drive to get nice & hot first.

having a nightmare been trying to bleed cooling system /matrix for nearly 2.5 hours just get a flow from bleed valve at the matrix then it stops not spits and farts as in airlock but stops to make matters worse just about to stop and th head came off the bleed valve at the thermostat and still no bloody heat
