I have just taken my standard springs off my car to put onto my Gmax shocks, and one spring is about 4 inches longer than the other 
Is this normal or has someone fitted the wrong spring in the past?

Bummer, I thought that one may be shorter to compensate for the gear box being lighter than the engine.

None of the sets I have had are different so that's what I'm going by and 4 inches is a lot as well but I see your logic

Nope, both of my standard springs are exactly the same size.. Sounds a strange one this lol

Cut springs can be the only possiblity I can think of tbh.
Whats the drop..? As don't forget some are progressively wound and some aren't so it depends on how they're wound aswell.

These are the standard springs, the car is currently -60mm and im raising it back up

Even if they were progressive uz, surely both springs would be the same?
And standard springs are definately suppose to be equal so something isn't right.

Something must have gone wrong with one of the springs...but I've just re-read the opening post and both sides should be identical lengths :S
Have you ever owned any other standard springs cause I now different 206s have different length springs but none of them are progressively coiled.

Nope, this is my first pug and the springs came on the car.
I replaced the entire strut with gmax -60mm kit ut now i want to put the standard springs on the gmax damper to raise the front back up.

They are either damaged, or different springs altogether. Was it not obvious when they were fitted? But to get to the original point, you will definately need new springs

No, the standard springs I just took off the original strut are the wrong length.
I'll have to but two standard spring
