I think the one on the left is for auto lights or something?

This is normal. They are follow me home lights and stay on for 30 secs or until you lock the car. To turn on/off turn key 2 clicks then press and hold button one ends of left stalk. |

The COM2000 may have been replaced with one with more functions than your BSI has activated

If you have auto wipers then you may have auto lights. Turn the key to position 1 and hold the button for more than four seconds. You should hear a tone and see a message saying auto lights active. To de-activate, just repeat the process.
The follow me home lights are activated by turning the key to 0 and then flashing your main beam. Just leave the car as normal. The lights should then stay on for about 60 seconds. To turn them off just over ride them by turning your lights back on.

Its a GLX so it has auto lights fitted.
The button on the end of the headlamp stalk is to turn the auto lights feature on & off UNLESS its been disabled in the BSI configuration set up.
As for the follow me home headlights there activation depends on the BSI software version the car is running

It wont say auto lights active as you have the smaller display
Leave the light switch set to AUTO.
Start the engine & cover the sensor with you hand for a good few seconds
