weird noise at higher revs, fine low revs any ideas ? like a bearing or something mabey
New car 2011 / Thoruim grey , 207 1.4 Vti 16v Sport 95bhp , tinted rear windows.

Old car 2000/ 206 2.0 hdi.

still can hear turbo and goes well anyone else had this ??

I got this too. Like a high pitched whirring? I had timing belt and all pulleys, water pump etc. changed but it's still there. Still not got to the bottom of it.

its hard to explain the noise its ok low revs , so driving low revs now .
High revs makes werid noise think might be a bearing ,dunno wot else it could be ? annoying though.
you got 2.0 hdi aswell thought may be the turbo but still pulls well same as can hear turbo as normal so not sure anyone can help please ????

this happens on my partners fiat punto.it sounds absolutely normal until you get to 4 thousand rpm and then it goes all high pitched.like you it's hard to explain exactly how it sounds but it doesn't sound too healthy,almost as if something is going to happen.it definately wasn't there before either.

i don't have a clue but my first initial thought was something to do with the camshaft or the engine internally.now i'm not too sure,it still drives ok.

bloody werid mines seems ok now cant hear it.

i have this too on the gt 138 obviously a non turbo... had the wheels looked at by my mechanic an he says the bearings are fine....

ive got used to it now but wouldnt mind a definate answer if anyone has one.....
