my engine has a tapping noise and seems to miss fire slightly. any ideas

What did the code read say when you scanned it?
Why you getting a induction kit if its not running right?

no codes came up it was fine. it been like that since i bought it. its only done 57000 miles.
but the person i bought it off probs hashed it 2 bits. any way apart from getting rid of it i could sort it out???

I bought a car with more than just a "tappy" engine 
You could always just swap the engine

good point am getting that done next week. also thinking of taking the crank case of and tightening the torx bolts up a tad. that could also be a factor in the noise. what yous think??
