at the moment my 206 appears to have no faults, but i tend to get the emissions warning light now this is where it gets complicated. the fault is intermitent. the engine sometimes refuses to speed up and i have a rough idle. has anyone had the same problem or maybe could shed some light on this, i really dont want to pay peugeot for hours of diagnostic's as the code is unspecific
spark plugs changed.
coilpack tested and not at fault.
injectors checked and not at fault.
now the only thing i can think that it could be is a MAF sensor or a Lambda sensor.

my car didn't have the rough idle but when the light came on it refused to rev, like if i was at 3000 in 3rd and foot flat down the revs would start to drop for a few seconds then all power comes back, and the car would just feel underpowered every now and then. light on or off. changed the MAF sensor and seems a lot better and light hasn't showed since last friday was told it was either the MAF sensor or the cat was blocked with 90% being MAF sensor. check for green rot sort of stuff inside the sensor and if there is either try cleaning first or just replace.

ooo i will, its just so annoying when you get a "random misfire" code, and to be fair there isnt like a pattern to when i get the problems

don't think mine was a random misfire but one of the symptoms was the same and it happened every time the light was on.

Unplug the MAF sensor, if the idle bounces around a bit then the sensor will be fine. You can try to clean it but with electrical contact cleaner only
Make sure you're only using Bosch spark plugs
If your MAF sensor is shafted the it will play havoc with the lambda sensors and CAT.

Get a compression test done of all the cylinders before you spend anything.

Change the plugs, Peugeot wouldn't have issued a service bulletin about not fitting NGK plugs if they were ok

oh, ive replaced them 3 times since ive had the car and no matter where ive gone they've always given me ngk? euro car parts and abm's. but surely this wouldnt cause a random misfire as the problems only just started to become more apparent, im guessing its gotta be the map or lambda =\

I would have thought a panel filter would be best as you can lose power with induction kits
