How can I do this? Its a soft rubber strip almost foam like. Too soft for self tappers. Need to be weatherproof and removeable without damage to paint.
Is there a particular type of double sided that could be used?

Tigerseal it's an adhesive strong enough to hold spoilers to the car without drilling
Comes in a bathroom sealant type tube

Its for exterior trim. bottom of the sills and other places. More info if its a success. Just an experiment.
What is the sticky stuff they use for vinyl wrap and stripes? something like that in a double sided form maybe. I don't think a glue will do it without destroying the paint.

I can see that being hard to remove. Wont it take the laquer off too?

generally lacquer is fine with adhesive if its not fresh. putting it on old lacquer should be ok and its easy to get off with a heat gun/ hairdryer and a bit of AG intesive tar remover.
use it in the training school my dad works at. ( they teach panel beating and spraying )
