I bought my Rallye back in Sept 2008 and im yet to drive it at the time i had 2 broken legs from a crash in my previous rallye, but in a way of keeping my head sane i needed something to focus on to get me through the recovery process, anyway 18 months behind a laptop on many pug forums and ebay i accumilated quite a few parts, Feb this year i was fit for work again and spent the odd day here and there on it anyway thats enough of my going on i'll let the photos do the talking now
The car about 10-12 months ago, the father in law had helped me to strip it and this is how it stood waiting to be collected for the cage fitting
and with the cage fitted
I cut the Dash to fit and cleaned inside out i then got on with priming ready for paint (Feb This year)

My mate agree'd that it was a S**T job and said he'd re paint it for me but wouldn't be able to touch it for 5-6 weeks at this point i was gutted as it would miss FCS 2010, but i cracked on with what i could
Fitted a gates timming belt kit and new water pump (forgot pic till after cover was on)
Fitted the Rich_w billet flywheel and valeo clutch
Wrapped the exhaust manifold
i then moved back on the car and started on the wiring and removed all the old syspension
Whilst up at my mates he'd forgoten to remove masking tape from the cage and it pulled all the paint off
so rather than wait for him as this would mean i couldnt get on, i decided to paint the inside myself

I hate it. Another Rotrex supercharged 306 GTi
Did you install it yourself or did you go to Lynx Engineering and have Rich install supercharger for you? You running the low boost option?
Well done man. Looks awesome.

it aint an inferior 306 gti its a Rallye
Engine spec currently on low boost which will be around 240bhp but i have plans of going for high boost over the winter, all work done by myself apart from welding the cage and applying the paint on the outside of the car

This is a beast! I would love to have a toy like this and good to see someone whos doing the work themselves instead of handing it over it for someone else to do!

How much did the cage cost to have done (without painting?)
They look like Cupra R wheels in the last couple of photos!
Looks cracking, though, shame you missed FCS2010, would've been good to have a play on track!
