my mate just 'tried' changing his gearbox, so he got a new clutch to go with it, when trying to fit the box the gearbox main shaft seal broke and oil poured out into the 'dry cell' (where the clutch lives) covered the clutch and drained out..........im positive a tin of brake/clutch cleaner and a good ol' rub will sort it......suggestions...

you'll need to get the box back and out give it all a proper clean. and i mean a PROPER clean, if that doesnt do it then youll need a new clutch kit

the box is off for new seals now anyways and we rubbed all the oil off, before i got buy sum super solvent cleaner, just wondering if it will do the job...

Clutch kits arnt that expensive tbh! May as well change it as its out! Rather then risk a dirty/oily one!

nope. you will need a new clutch.
there is no way to remove oil from the friction material.
