the two black plastic strips that run down the side of the roof and windscreen - how do you remove the rivets at the windscreen end? can it be done so that they can be re-used?

do you mean the plastic strips which are about an inch wide and run from the front windscreen to the rear windscreen or do you mean the plastic strips which run down the front of the windscreen to the top edge of the bonnet? if it's rivets mate your only chance of removing them is to drill them out

You mean the roof gutters dont you?

If you are on about these then the small little rivets do not need to be drilled out, they just pull out. Once these are out gently pull the gutters up from the windscreen. When they are away from the screen open the boot. There is a small pin that is at the back that goes in the roof. Slide the gutters back and then you should be able to remove them.
