Should of been a simple unplug the old and plug the new ones in.
The foam seal will be fine I wouldnt worry about getting water in them and please dont drill a small hole as there is no need. If you are getting condensation in just get some gel pack that come with like leather goods and they will be fine.

Next time mate just ask on here, Plenty of member's around your area including me who would do stuff like that for sod all. One the member's near me is even a mobile mechanic. It doesn't hurt to ask.

It's the fact that if you timed it I could literally go out and swap mine round genuinely within 60 seconds.
£24 labour for one minutes work is pretty amazing especially as it couldn't be any easier.

Please ask for advice first on here in future. You could probably have got the lights cheaper too.
