hi there everyone , i have bought a 206 diesel with a few problems, 1 of which is the bonnet release catch has been broken & the inner cable has snapped, i have tried to get a screwdriver through the peugeot sign to flick over the catch but nothing is happening, how else can i get the bonnet open, i havent had the car on axle stands or jacked up yet, can i remove the front grill easy enough or is there a simple way how to do it

im really struggling here...

cheers jay

well the cable snapped from inside or out??if it's inside, hold it with someting other than your fingers, and pull it,it will open, but if it's snapped from outside then you need to visit a bodyshop Sad

Get some long nose pliers, grip and wrap the cable around them as you pull, stab in the dark but could work, depends how much cable you have left

thanks for all your help, ive sorted it, its quite easy when you know where to look.... if you go to the bottom of the grill and flick the latch over at the bottom of the mechanism it pops the bonnet
