Cartoonhead the other screw i think is at bottom mid near radiator on and by thermastat its not in exact place as urs is it because mines a 2000 i actaully havent got bleed screw in same place heater matrix yeah but other is different place .Or i only have one bleed screw ? looks like one at end of thermastat mid in middle of radiator not right habd side like in your pic .
I just tries that still cant see level atall and its a bright good torch , this coolant bottles are s**t why they make it so hard meant to be easy checking coolant level . there's gotta be a easy way surely and the joke is if you fill it so you can see it thats a fair bit over max .
Would it hurt it much being bit over the max level ?
And its 50/50 water, coolant rite ?

Id buy a new coolant tank lid mate. Sounds like the seal has gone in it. The caps are also self bleeding so you shouldnt have air in the system.

The system isn't self bleeding, that's why it has bleed screws fitted.
