2 things really;

1. when i turn corners its makes a really loud squeaking noice like a crunch (not a knock like driveshaft) only when driving slowley.
2. i can hear a whistling noice when i drive over 30/40mph

can anyone help?

Not sure about the second but for the first i would say check your front top suspension strut bearings. Try getting someone to listen to hear where the noise is coming from while you rock the steering back and forth on the spot. Should narrow it down if not the bearings.

The bearing itself should cost about £26 for a genuine peugeot one or £15 for a non genuine. Its just getting to it thats the problem as you have got to strip that corners suspension down to get to it.

could be bottom ball join or top moout, also secound 1 sounds like diff on the gear box but hard to say with out seeing it
