all the lights.. indicators.. temperature readings are fine.

im just wondering what is that maroon plug meant for. it is quite wedged and i cant move it about. wanted to take the wire and see how far it could stretch to give me an idea where it came from.

thats a good question, cuz when i took my car apart there were 2 plugs not plugged into owt, so i would also like to know Razz

Don't think it is.

Have it as well and bonnet switch works lovely.

Try opening the bonnet and seeing if you get message on the MFD.

That plug doesnt stop the bonnet opening, it just powers the bonnet alarm sensor.

Not all 206's have an alarm system fitted BUT because Peugeot use generic looms to keep costs down you may have extra plugs fitted that are not actually used due to your spec of car Wink

If you have a factory fitted anti theft alarm system then it will connect to the bonnet sensor on the bonnet catch, being an Australian spec car I doubt it will have one as the spec is pretty mean down under.
