hello people,, its been a while,, i erm have this lady fweind Smile im doin some work on her car for, and basicly, shes had it a month,, i didnt get to search the car before she baught it, but here it comes with problems,,

rev counter spazzes at the o-rpm n doesnt budge,,

the car over reved every know and then,, ( fixed) clipped the plastic piping under the butterfly t/b in the right position , and cleaned the t/b out,

the car cuts out,, when shes comes to a stop,, she says it just drops all revs,, on ym4 test drives around the estate up and down hills, didnt do it to me but when she drove home, it did,,

ive read bout the cps sensor being a possible fault for the rev counter,, ive read that the " temp sender" corrects the mixture ?? ( is that far the mix ratio of the fuel/oxygen, obvious things would say no, because thats what the lamda and maf do,,

when the car cuts out, the oil, batt, and the otehr red light in the top right of the cluster shows,, and the stop in the middle on the bottom,, no other symbols or anything i can see,, i unpluged that plug to the left (o/s/f) of the inlet manifold, and it seems to me some one has sprayed all the sensor plugs with wd-40,, my initial impressions was that the contamination of the wd,, with the wet nes of fluid, and the charge of electricity, would have conneceted all the individuall pins as one, meaning its shorted/ melted/blown parts of the ecu,,

now, i know my way around a car,, i can strip a car, clean it and rebuild it without thinking but you puglys allways leave me baffled,,

hence why i own a ford Smile lol,

banter aside, any help or advice would be very much apreciated

cheers

If it's revving high and sometimes cuts out when coming to a stop sounds like the idle control valve is faulty mate

might i ask im going of pictographic memory lol,,
