Hi all,

Just wondering about what Turbo is fitted on my 99/2000 2.0 HDI. I've been offered a reasonably priced unit that the seller claims is a "kkk k06" and "was fitted to ALL the 2.0 HDI's", but i'm not 100% convinced, most websites offering refurbed turbo's give an option of a KKK or a Garrett.

I called Peugeot about an unrelated part, and while he had my chassis number I enquired about the part number or the Turbo I had - 0375E3, and from searching away on Google it suggests it's the 706977-0003E from Garrett.

Are they interchangable? Looking at £300+VAT upwards if I want a recon unit...cars not really worth that!

Thanks in advance

as far as i was aware from discussions with a good pal who was helping with me FMIC at the time

there are three types of turbo on the 2L HDi so that seller is talking poo

as my 05 HDi had a garrett on it but his one had a KKK turbo

i think the KKK turbo was what was used on the 110 engine ( still the 2L not the 1.6L )
but don't hold me at that i could be slightly wrong

my current engine is from a 307-110-HDi and that's on a KKK turbo but my spare turbo off my old 206 HDi engine is a garrett turbo.

so ExoVyper could be right in saying the 110-HDi engines had a KKK fitted as when i found some 406 intercooler pipes in the boot of a car at the scrappers recently the turbo was in the boot aswell and that was a KKK

but either way they ARE interchangeable.

I thought all 2.0HDi's were 90's and only the 1.6 was a 110?

Earlier 206's had the K03 (KKK) model. The turbo part numbers are very similar. You want the WHOLE part number, not just part of it.

I've never seen or heard of a 2.0HDi with an intercooler from standard, only the 1.6 came with an intercooler as far as I knew
