Guess what its happened again!!!

The car had been running fine for about 30 mins but I parked it in Tesco's today and left it running for a while. It cut out when the temp gauge was at about 95C.

The fan appears to be working fine but I am completely stumped now.

Any advice guys?

The car stalled again today and the engine was not that warm so I think I can rule out it being a heat issue. It stalled and then wouldnt start again. It was turning over but just not firing which I suspect may be a fuel issue. I turned off the car for about 20 seconds and it started fine.

The wife was driving behind me and said she could smell fuel when I stalled.

Food for thought I suppose!

HI, did you ever get to the bottom of this?

My 2001 1.4i GLX used to cut out every now and then but would start straight away with one turn of the key no problem.

The last few weeks it has got worse and it is doing it nearly every day. Always when I'm slowing down for a junction or roundabout etc.

I've been told that it might be the fuel filter depending if it is an external one. Not sure if that is true.
