maybe you could repair it. glad your ok i would cry if that happened to me

Its multiplexed & fired an airbag, chassis will most likely be bent Wink

It will need a check on the jig to make sure everythings straight before you can think of rebuilding it safely.

All the front end panels are bolt on.

Airbag ecu, pair of front seatbelts & a passenger airbag are easy to pick up.

As long as the chassis is straight it could be repaired pretty easily / cheaply.

yeh thats what i was thinking tbh because youve put all of that effort into it and it looks to be in mint condition and the engine still runs so shouldnt be too expensive

With the crease on the back quarter and the N/S/F whel being pushed back, definately non repairable. Likely damage to the inner wing too, so as Mr BSI says it would need jigging.
Make the insurance an offer to buy it back and then break it. Might make more than just the insurance valuation payout once the excess is taken off.

The ECU's and airbags cost a f*****g fortune... 2 of mine went off on my 180 and it was £700 inc ECU.

Airbag ecu was £160 from Pug last time I bought a new one.

That's where you get on the sticky wicket. The qusestion of have you had an accident in the last 5 years? If you answer no, then you would be committing an insurance fraud. If you answer yes, then your renewal goes up.
I had a crash in January. Had protected NCB but because of the accident, the renewal still went up due to the crash. They have you over a barrel no matter what you do.
I remember a lad in the police on a blues and twos run, went through a red light and one car stopped on the green side, the second car didn't. Even though he was not directly involved in the crash, the insurance companies decided he was partly to blame due to going through a red light and increased his private policy with a price hike.
