Hi all ive recently brought some mcgard locking wheel bolts, i checked on there website to get the number for the ones i need. I then ordered them off ebay making sure i used the same number it said on the mcgard website. I got them through the post this morning and straight away looked different to the genuine bolts i got a few weeks ago for my sirocco alloys.
The picture above shows the mcgard locking wheel bolt against the genuine peugeot bolt. On the mcgard bolt there is no shoulder where as on the peugeot one there is. Is this a problem and have i got the wrong ones or is this typical and do they still fit and secure the wheel right?

Exact same thing just happened to me mate. You need to get the ones with the shoulder. If
You read in the little book you get with them it will say that if these bolts do not look the same as the manufactures ones on your vehicle do not use them as they do not hold the wheel securely onto the hub. In using incorrect bolts for your vehicle with invalidate the warranty on the bolts.

Any idea on the bolt type number i need? I assumed they would be right as it says on the mcgard website they are suitable for o.e alloys.

There fine. They are flat seated, amd as long as they are the correct thread size, they'll be fine.

Thanks I'll try them on one wheel and make sure they hold it securely before driving at any speed.

likw i say before there is nothing to worry about.
as long as the thread length is right, M12x1.25 thread then you will be fine.
