Hi guys, had a few minor issues on pug been able to fix, but not sure if this is the gauge set or the sender.
The fuel gauge only reads from 1/2 (empty) to way past full. I therefore dont get the amber light when it's about empty, but I do get the beeps. Also need to tap the front of the gauge cluster to get the fuel needle to read correctly now and again (suggesting buggered gauges). Do I need to replace the whole set or is there a way of fixing?

so your saying that the needle starts off at 1/2 and goes way past the full line when the tanks full? sounds like the needle is just in the incorrect place,
you could remove the needle when its sat at 1/2 and is ment to be at 0, and put it back on in the 0 position? then when the tanks full it wouldnt go way past the full line but up to it instead?
its possible that the guages glitched out (like when you have to tap them) and this resulted in the needle being in the wrong place?

Possibly could be done! What about the amber warning light though, I guess if I can rotate the mechanism (without removing the needle) then it might work, but if I just relocate the needle surely the amber light wont come on? I could be wrong I'm new to 206's

hrrrm true, you could just manually push the needle from 1/2 to 0 when the cluster is opened up and unplugged? both of those ways get it to its 0 position, but im not sure about the amber light? im guessing the second methods got more chance of getting the light to work again, im not sure if the needle would just spring back up to 1/2 when plugged back in again though lol

Wish I could afford to fill her up. Could rebooting the BSI fix it without filling up?
