i understand, i did the same! i agree, it was my first post about paying a mechanic £45 an hour being expensive!, as all the work ive had done has cost me upwards of £600 i wanted to make sure i was getting the best deal and then MrBSI strolls along and tells me im an idiot and that i need to shut up moaning, not what you expect from a forum like this!

i actually didnt word my original post right at all, but didnt expect the responses,
i know nothing about cars, lol, didnt even know what an ecu was until the other day.

Hope you get your BSI sorted and its not too expensive.

As for some of the replies to requests for help on here.
Well its clearly not just women that suffer from PMT.
Fortunately most replies are helpful and constructive so the angry, irrelevant ones make good entertainment reading Very Happy

You have been cheaper to buy a second hand ECU and BSI than it will be to fix the existing, IF its broke. What was they using for the diagnostics, hope it wasnt a cheap s***ty ebay special

im not paying thank god lol,

as i had only recently got the car the bloke is doin all the work for free, he has sent it off somewhere, so its gets done properly. so fingers crossed as he is expecting it back this week,

oh and no it wasnt a ebay special lol, the guy runs a garage and it good.
