Hey guys,
Went to open my boot earlier and it wouldn't open. I tried central locking by fob and by key in door and it still don't work. Any ideas on how to open it and how to fix it? X

you could climb into boot, pull off pannel (some have a little torx in middle of pannel need to remove 1st) and pull on the mechanism see if it opens

Taking the tailgate trim panel of & having a look would be a good start.
Could be either:
1) Broken wire to tailgate
2) Defective central locking motor
3) Lack of lubrication / linkage problem.

The rest of the car unlocks but not the boot?
You need to get the rear seats down and pull of the tailgate panel to have a look at the soleniod. Unlock / lock the car whilst looking at it and see what action is taking place. If there is no movement check wires etc or if it's seized.

Unless someone has gone into the back of you! Sounds stupid, but someone may have done it while your car was parked and it may not have left a mark on the bumper.
Happened to me, except didn't affect the boot opening, but they slightly bent the corner of my boot lit.

Being the picky sort - I really hate it when people say this. Yes we all know what it looks like - but we all want to see the condition that yours is in! | |
