Agreed Smile I think the Aegean looks smart as hell though, but red is just as good Razz

Mine will be better once a few more £££'s are spent on it. I'll be more loving of it once it's lowered and the rear quarter is resprayed.

Does it feel much quicker than the regular GTI you had? I've never driven both so I can't compare..

Lol dont start that argument up haha

I drove them back to back in 07' and there was a big difference, The 138 felt slower than the fiesta ST I drove before it.

You have to thrash the 180 to get it to move though!

I know, my 180 is sluggish at low revs lol

As above it actually feels slower than the gti138 in low revs, the 180 is quicker if you put your foot down or thrash it, I think the 138 is more practical for town driving, and yes seb it's about 2 miles from my house

But if your racing your always going to be at your optimal unless you can't drive so the 138 doesn't stand a chance.I have had plays with 138s and they're not really in the same league. My 180 is around as quick maybe quicker than my modded vts which would literally leave a 138 for dead and certainly (both through the corners) 180s on stock suspension!

Yeah if racing the 180 would win there's no denying that, I'm just going on experience here, I had my 138 for 3 years and I've now drive 2 180's and both times I've thought the 180 doesn't feel perky in lower revs, doing 30 in 3rd if I touched the accelerator it took time to pick up where on my 138 it just felt perkier, I don't know if this is to do with the vvt or not?

Yeh VVT kicks in @ around 4.5k iirc think without it the engine would be slow as fck tbh,

But like I mean in a race your litterally going to be in VVT as you'll be roasting it:)

One thing I did notice was that the 180 felt much more planted at speed and in the corners. I also noticed the ride quality in the 180 was worse due to the bigger alloys and stiffer suspension lol

I can't believe how cheap the 180s are getting almost no difference in price with the 138! I'm seriously thinking about working a few weeks and buying a cheap 180 (under 2k have seen high millers go for that) and stripping it and tracking it!

Yeah I agree suspension wise it will be better in corners, my 138 had vortex's on so I'm used to the bumpy ride lol
