Ive just got some carbon fibre effect vinyl, but it looks a bit dull.

Do you think it would look any better if it was lacquered?

Kinda yes, kinda no, there's a problem with lacquering the Carbon stuff..

Basically, even after it's been applied, it CONSTANTLY moves, something to do with the weave and glue on the back, so the lacquer WILL crack after a short while, and as I've tried and tested a while back, when you lacquer it, it takes ALOT of the effect away from the vinyl.

It does increase the shine by miles though.. Depends what you want really.. Really shiney, but looking just a 'plain colour' from a distance, or no matter where you stand, been able to tell it's faux carbon but with less of a shine?

I just did a spoiler today and was wondering the exact same thing does look a bit dull / more obviously fake without the laquer

well im not sure really, i guess i want it to show the weave, but it really wasnt what I was expecting.
