How much would it cost to get my air-con re-gassed???
It used to work but then the car was sat around for nearly a year without the A/C being used and when I push the button you can see a slight drop in the revs so i'm pretty sure its all working but just needs gas

would say between £60-100 depending on where you take it
thats assuming its just drained out over time and just needs a straight forward re-gas
if it is a leak thats causedit then the cost starts to esculate quite rapidly :/

Me too, I got told it's about £28 to re/gas my aircon

depends how its done 
we charge £70 at work but that is a full drain, leak checked then if passes is re-gassed with the correct amounts of gas and oil (with combined uv leak detection dye to help easily pinpoint future leaks) and a pollen filter change

Ok thanks guys, just hoping Lee and hobnob are right  Drove into college today and was so tempted to stick my head out of the window like a dog, it was that hot in the car even tho the fan was on cold and setting 4, need to get it sorted asap,

Most places I've seen for a good aircon recharge charge around the £70 mark.. Your backstreet "Low Pressure" fillers will do it for about £30-45ish, A true aircon regas removes the old gas along with moisture, checks for leaks and then refills using both the high and low pressure pipes.

Gas doesnt just dissapear as said by other members its because of a leak.

true / qualified - Meh lol
They do actually advise you get them regased every 2 years anyway, aircon loses it's cooling effectiveness over time.

Yeah i can understand that with such a small amout of refrigerant in, just be careful there are MANY aircon cowboys out there. best to check they are F-Gas/Refcom qualified (Y)

Yes, so why not go to a qualified engineer rather than the " fill it up aslong as it works " approach
