I broke down this morning at 1am and the AA came out and had to tow me home.
Had a clutch guy out today who said there is two types of clutch available one for £240 and one for £320, upon checking he said its the more expensive one required when he gave them the reg, he quoted £320 for a LUX/Luk Clutch to be fitted, I mentioned Kettering Motorist Centre offered it for £240 and he said he can do it for £260 and that will include taking the car to his garage which is about a half a mile away and me collecting it.
What do you think to this ?

Sounds like a reasonable price and LUK clutches are pretty good.

when my release bearing was making a noise it lasted about 6 months until it went. gt your monies worth out of it if you have AA cover until it goes.

Thats what I did, it hasnt caused any further damage by me letting it go.
Will be replacing complete clutch anyway.
What would be wrong with doing this as I don't see your point Big_Rich180 ??
Cheers

Had it replaced, mine looked just like the one in the photo uploaded above, release bearing had completley crumbeled into about 4 pieces.
