so far repaired fan wiring the low speed fan comes on with air con high speed fan works replaced both green and blue sensors and low speed fan resistor done 400 miles on motorway non stop and car does not over heat but when you sit in traffic for about 45 seconds you can see the temperature guage rise to about 95 degrees and then the stop light will come on along with the warning beeps the high speed fan will then come on and the temperature will drop to abaout 90 degrees as i said the car isn't overheating is it possible to change the temperatur at wich the fan comes on thanks

They are not giving you abuse here so there is no need to go on the personal attack.

Your OP is very hard to read so it would be best to go over it again and make it a bit clearer and then you may get the help you need.

No I don't think you can change the temp the fan comes on. Not easily anyway.

You could always wire in a switch.

somethings wrong there. The lowspeed fan should come on around 93 without any warning messages so clearly there's an issue somewhere. Wouldnt it be in the cars ECU that determines what temperature the fan kicks in? I doubt this would have been altered by someone else?

it depends on what engine you have but I dont think the stop light should come on for overheating at 95, it should come on when hotter
Please Dont take any of my posts as written fact. They are simply my opinion and although to the best of my knowledge true, the information within them may well be incorrect.

Any work you undertake as a result of my posts is done so at your own risk Smile

thanks for the replies. i can watch the temp rise in front of me in a matter of seconds and if it was not for the stop light there is no issue as the car does not overheat. I am really getting fed up with this , i just thought maybe somebody else has had the same problem

Yeah, I have aircon, but there's no gas in it so its never used. My low speed runs as soon as I start the engine and the high speed doesnt kick in at all or very rarely after im parked up.

thanks a lot mate maybe my problem is my low speed fan not coming on and allowing the temp to rise .could you tell me roughly what temp your car runs at around town.
I did a run of 400 motorway miles yesterday and the car sat just below 90 degrees but as soon as i got into town my temp rises in front of my eyes
