Interior mirror (one with rain detector inside) on 1.4 206 LX has fallen off - surprise! Have tried mirror pads (useless warmed or not) velcro tape (as useless) and even bought cheap suction pad mirror. This stays on for about a fortnight then falls off! Cleaned glass with meths before sticking both ways etc. Now realise that I may have to remove the metal pad from the mirror and stick that to the glass first, then slot the mirror back on the metal pad after curing. Fine, but does anyone know the best adhesive to use? Peugeot dealer has no idea and suggested mirror pads from Halfords! Have been given all sorts of advice from Loctite to bathroom sealer!! Does anybody actually KNOW of something which will actually work? Thanks.

Go & spaek to a windscreen repair place, normally for a couple of beers in the back pocket they will stick the clip back on for you with the special glue.

OR

JB weld will hold that metal clip on to the glass Wink

Mine came of a few years ago.

JB weld on the metal clip, securely tape it to the screen & LEAVE IT ALONE for a few days to cure, then refit the mirror shroud on to the clip.

Thanks for that guys - and fast replies! First stop Halfords tomorrow, but if they are still out of stock on the Loctite it's going to be ebay and JB Weld. I'll let you know the outcome.
