They must have had tyres on because nimrods definatetly weigh less. If they don't then the research I did a few years ago was wrong.

Well, I didn't take weeks going through the OEM wheels weight checking for no reason. So as I said, unless my information was given to me false, the Nimrods were what I ended up with, because they were lighter.

Just to clear this up. The true 206 GTi 180 alloys (non centre capped) are 2.4 KGs lighter than the standrad GTi alloys.
GTi alloys: with tyres 17.13KGs
GTi 180 alloys: with tyres 15.008kgs
Just checked this on our weight machine at work and confirmed it with the O/E spec on Servicebox.
