Only problem i had with mine engine wise was the crank shaft pulley buggerin up on about 50,000 but other than that it never missed a beat and it took quite abit of abuse, other things to look out for would be the usual 206 faults like rear beams and bottom arms.

Sorry to bump an old thread but we've now got a 1.4 hdi 206 and whilst the body work is tatty the engine is fantastic, it's surprisingly quicker than the 1.1 and it managed about 400 miles to half a tank. It was bought 2 weeks ago but I hadn't a chance to actually drive the car myself since, however I got a couple of hundred miles done at the weekend.

As a few people mentioned in this thread about things to look out for the crank pulley was knackered so we replaced it with an alloy one. Other than a few minor niggles it's brill. So thanks for the help!
