hi guys
quick question, im wanting to replace the fuel filter on my car, do i buy the whole plastic housing or just the filter on its own?
i take it the location on my car is at the front of engine bay next to th radiator?

On my 206 1.4hdi the fuel filter is a unit to the right of the air filter, under the engine cover if you have one and the unit has to be changed as a whole, you can't just change the element.

I'm unsure as to HDi however on petrol 206s after 2002 you don't need to replace them as they're self cleaning?

ive read they are self cleaning because they are inside of the petrol tank?

not on mine at least, had to replace it last week becuase of idle issue, definatly next to air filter and at least the one in mine is not self cleaning. The one you are looking at looks like the right one though when i looked at mine again, it will be the same as a fiesta 1.4 tdci.

as far as im aware these arent self cleaning? i had to replace mine a few weeks ago too, that looks the same as mine too. aparently its not a standard fuel filter though because it has some kind of sensor in it which is why it wasnt cheap cost me £15 with trade discount, usually i would only pay a few quid for a filter.
