I'm quite surprised the car didn't come out completely disgusting. It has dirt ALL over it at the moment. Not been cleaned properly since I've had it.
I'll sort all the dirty bits out when I get back.
Thanks J-dog, the stickers are meant for the VX220 Annual National club meeting over on Anglesey, but it looks like I'm not going to be going IN the VX220 now! I'll probably just leave them on anyway, quite like them.

I've been watching this from the start and I've got to say out of all the ones you've had this has got to be the nicest once of all. Looking forward to seeing this with a blower fitted and finding out what sort of results you get from it.
I do have a very big soft spot for these. There's a chap in Evesham whose's got a red turbo VX220, love it too bits and sounds absolutely gorgeous.

It will be a much more planned out project than the silver one was. It's going to get everything done properly and I will take my time over it.
They are fantastic cars, nothing to boast about in 'pub talk', "Oh, it's a vauxhall with 145bhp, big deal!", but they weigh almost nothing and pull effortlessly.

Just bought a new set of TD 1.2s in gloss black, gave them a good few layers of wax and sealant before I put some tyres on, getting some covers made up for the wheel caps to cover the TD logo and be replaced with the VX220 logo.
Front clam is now off and every single one of the radiator surround bolts seems to be rusted solid, already drilled 4 of them out.
Rear arch protectors are now black, along with the door grab handles.
No pictures just yet, but hopefully I'll get around to fitting the new rad at some point!

Well, it's not professional but it covers up the flaking paint from before so if there are a few imperfections, I can live with that on a fibre glass car.

I need the car tomorrow as I'm going away in it so I had to take a day off to sort it out, that and I'd miss silverstone next week if I didn't get it done.
Radiator and surround sorted:
Washed the tub down and fitted the other seats in:
Coolant in, bleeding the system (blue this time, I didn't like the pink before ):
Did an oil change and just thought I'd throw this one in as the engine looks so nice and clean:
Almost ready (awaiting delivery of tyres tomorrow):

And yes, the door paintwork is obvious, I ran out of time to find a colour matched paint so just got on with it so I can use the damn car.
Will get it painted in a booth in a few weeks time when I can get a slot!
