Can anyone post some pics of injectors/injector removal, I want to have a look at them and possibly clean/change them, but cant find anything in the how to's?

Aren't there also small metal clips on the rail too?

There may well be. It's been a few months since I last looked at a GTi engine.

I did undo two bolts on the rail a bit ago one at each end, but the rail felt like it was still bolted in, could this just be age?
I'll have a look anyway.

Got nowhere with taking the rail out here, do you have to release the air pressure from the schrader valve on top?
Also, is it worth taking them out to clean? Can they actually be cleaned to improve performance?
I'm looking at getting new, Im sure one or two arent working.
Visually they look old, rusty and as if theyve never been touched in ten years.

Injectors are a very high precision bit of kit, they are not meant to be removed for cleaning. Only for renrwal.
diagnostics will tell you how good they are.
just had mine checked and told they were in good nick.
