Yea the system is now full and bled and hasnt dropped since i last topped it back up, as for the anti-freeze im really not sure as when it had its last service was 2 years ago so presume it got done then, i serviced it myself this year and done everything apart from the coolent.

Cars done 49k miles and its a 51 plate, thats what i mean i dont no where the water has gone! i put 2 ltrs of water in to get it to the right level, there are no water marks under the car when stand still with the engine on or off, no water dampness inside the car either so have no idea!

Im thinking about getting the head gasket done anyway just to make sure! going to get a rough idea on costs later on

Thanks Smile

I had this mate thought it was my head gasket and found out the wet piston liner in number 1 had dropped so all I was doing was pumping water around my engine that's what you can hear in the footwell possibly?

Well if it is gone the longer you leave it the more damage it will do. Just take it to the garage to do the combustion test (as i put earlier) then youll soon know. Or if you google it you can buy em your self Smile

You can even get the bits on E-bay for about £130 max and do it yourself. If your not mechanically minded Im sure there must be someone who can help. Much cheaper than paying "pop star wages" labour costs !!! Just get it done to save even more expense in the future.
